The Center of the American Experiment has announced that the Raise Our Standards Tour will stop in Brainerd on Wednesday, September 29.
The Brainerd stop is part of a second round of organizational meetings after a summer tour of 17 cities that drew an average of 100 attendees to each location.
The event will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the Brainerd Industrial Center, 1801 Mill Ave. The event is free and open to the public and people can register for americanexperiment.org/events.
Organizers, in a press release, said the Raise Our Standards tour was launched “to counter the” awakened “political movement that is invading public schools in Minnesota, turning them into ideological battlegrounds and threatening the quality of education. ‘education of our children’.

Participants will learn how to combat the politicization of schools, the statement said. The briefing will cover the current Minnesota Social Studies Standards revisions, “the movement that is transforming the education system,” alternatives to public schools and how to get involved. American Experiment will also unveil a new online tool and resource center to facilitate communication about activities in local schools across the state.
