ALEXANDRIA, VA – On Monday, October 26, the Western Business Association (WEBA) will host a virtual event from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. The purpose of the session is to help Alexandria business owners who wish to prepare for the Paycheque Protection Programloan forgiveness request process (PPP).
Under the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act, the PPP aims to ensure economic stability during the pandemic. According to the Treasury DepartmentOn the website, the “program provides small businesses with funds to pay for up to 8 weeks of salary costs, including fringe benefits.” The funds can also be used to pay interest on mortgages, rent, and utilities. “
PPP loans of any amount can be canceled, if certain conditions are met.
There have been some recent changes to the application process. During the event, experts will provide tips and guidelines for both simple and advanced forms.
