DULUTH, Minn. –A man killed two people in Culver Township early Saturday morning before committing suicide after a police chase.

The father went to the house before the deputies arrived and found a dead man inside. Upon arrival, MPs found a second man dead outside the house, the sheriff’s office said.

While the information was being gathered, a Minnesota State Patrol soldier saw a vehicle moving a few miles from the scene and attempted to stop it.

“The driver of the vehicle fled from the soldier and a short chase ensued,” the sheriff’s office said. “While the chase was in progress, it was determined that the driver alone was the homicide suspect. The names of the victims and suspects will be released once family members have been contacted.

The sheriff’s office said it was not looking for additional suspects and that “there would be no more threat to the public.” Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call 911 or the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division at 218-336-4350.
