MALMO – The Malmo Free Church will present the family group Espeseth in concert at 7 p.m. on Saturday June 12.

These are local bluegrass artists from the Aitkin area who play various instruments.

Bring a lawn chair to enjoy the music outside. In case of rain, the concert will take place inside the air-conditioned church.

NISSWA – On Sunday, June 13, the Lutheran Church of the Cross will hold its first outdoor service of the summer at 10:15 a.m. in the Memorial Garden.

Bring a chair or blanket. Outdoor worship services will continue from Sunday to August 29. In the event of bad weather, the services will be moved to the celebration center.

In-person worship services are held Sunday at 9 a.m. at the celebration center. The services can be viewed via streaming video on lccnisswa.org (live and archived) and live on the Lutheran Church of the Cross-Nisswa Facebook page.

Trinity Lutheran Church, 1420 S. Sixth St., Brainerd, has two worship services scheduled for this week.

On Wednesday, June 9, there will be an indoor worship service at 6 p.m. Holy Communion will be served.

On Saturday, Trinity Bakers will be holding a bake sale from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is a benefit for the Amber Preisinger family to help with expenses as Amber is receiving treatment at the Mayo Clinic. The Trinity Cafe will feature kids, burgers, hot dogs and more, including Doug’s toffee buns during the bake sale.

On Sunday there will be an outdoor worship service at 9am with Holy Communion being served. This service is live on KVBR 1340 Radio and broadcast live on YouTube.

“Drive Up Blessing and Holy Communion” will be available in the parking lot at Gate 2 from 10:15 am to 10:45 am.

On Sunday, June 13, the worship service at South Long Lake Church begins at 9:30 a.m. with the words of Pastor Mark Bosserman.

The First Lutheran Church, 424 S. Eighth St., Brainerd, will celebrate the third Sunday after Pentecost with in-person worship at 9:30 am on Sunday June 13.

Pastor Patty Bjorklund will preach and preside.

There will be no church service in the parking lot on Sunday. Worship services in the parking lot will be on the fourth Sunday of the summer months.

BAXTER – The Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Baxter is building a new ministry for young adults in their 20s and 30s.

This ministry will feature programs created by and for people in this demographic with opportunities to advance in understanding the faith and to help others.

The group’s first meeting will follow Lord of Life’s church service on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. June 9.

At this meeting, the group will decide on a number of issues, including what its opening schedule will be.

On Sunday June 13, the Lutheran Church of Bethlehem, 418 Eighth Ave. NE, Brainerd, will celebrate the third Pentecost Sunday with a drive-thru at 8:45 am with the preaching of Pastor Mark Skinner.

Arrive early and park in the designated parking lot. Bring a chair as part of the parking lot will be designated for people to sit outside of their car.

In-person worship services with communion are held Sundays at 10 a.m. The church will continue to broadcast live services from 10 a.m. on Sundays to www.facebook.com/bethlehem.brainerd. The service will be set up www.belcnet.net after its completion for later viewing.

Men’s Bible study takes place at 7 a.m. on Tuesday.

PEQUOT LAKES – Our Savior Lutheran Church, 30985 Front St., Pequot Lakes, will host free outdoor picnics and concerts for the community at 6 p.m. on Thursday.

Bruce Archer will perform on June 17th. Maddy Braun will perform on July 15 and The Wittenberg Doors on August 19.
