BHS Seniors Named Commendation Students in National Scholarship Program – Brainerd Dispatch

BRAINERD — Two Brainerd High School students have been named Commendation Students under the 2023 National Scholarship Program.

A letter of congratulations from the school and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation will be presented to the Principal and Seniors Sophia Robin and Julia Rademacher.

Robin and Rademacher join approximately 34,000 recommended students across the country recognized for their outstanding academic promise. Although not continuing into the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Competition, the commended students ranked among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2023 competition by passing the SAT/National Merit Scholarship Preliminary Quality Test 2021.

“Those who have been named recommended students have demonstrated exceptional potential for academic achievement,” a spokesperson for the National Merit Scholarship Program wrote in a press release. “These students represent a valuable national resource; Recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is essential to the advancement of educational excellence in our country. We hope that this recognition will help broaden their educational opportunities and encourage them in their pursuit of academic success. »
